A studio designed around you
Private, appointment only, and unhurried. Emily draws every piece from scratch, in her own hand, for the person wearing it.
A calm place to sit for a few hours
Appointment only, one client at a time, and no rush. The studio is yours for the whole session.
Whether this is your first tattoo or the next in a collection, you get honest guidance on size, placement and what will still look sharp in ten years. Tattoo Manchester serves Stretford, Trafford and Greater Manchester.
Private studio
One client at a time, by appointment. Hygiene, comfort and quiet come first.
Custom designs
Nothing off a wall. Every piece is drawn for you and adjusted until it is right.
Fine line & blackwork
Ornamental linework with deliberate weight, shaded with whip, dotwork and stipple.
What a fine line tattoo looks like after ten years
Every tattoo spreads a little. Ink migrates a fraction into the surrounding skin, edges soften, and the gaps between lines close up. It happens to every piece by every artist. What changes is how much room the design has to absorb it.
Below is our own bee, the same drawing twice, tattooed at two sizes. Drag the years and watch what happens to the small one.
This is the thing Emily pushes back on most often. Fine line does not mean fine everywhere, and a design too small to age well is not worth putting on you.
Ageing simulator
Both are the same design by the same hand. The only difference is how big it was put on. Drag the years.
Work out what your session costs
Every session is £80 an hour and nothing is quoted by the piece. Drag the hours and watch the numbers move. Switch the subscription on to see the same booking with a free hour added.
Still not sure how long you need? Most people are not, and guessing costs you money. The free fifteen minute chat settles it.

Linework that holds its shape
Varying line weight is the signature. Thick and thin played against each other so a piece still reads from across a room.

Emily Preston
Ornamental blackwork, fine line, and a strong opinion about what will still look good in ten years.
She will tell you if a piece is too small to age well, and she will tell you if she is not the right artist for it. Being told no by an artist is a good sign.
Book by the hour, not by the guess
Every session is £80 an hour. Choose the length that suits the piece, or book a free chat and Emily will tell you honestly what it needs.
Small, simple pieces. Fine line lettering, a single flower, a small ornamental motif.
The sweet spot for most first tattoos.
Up to nine hours. The whole studio to yourself.
Build credit while you decide
£20 a month builds tattoo credit and adds a free hour to your sessions.
A two hour booking becomes a three hour session for the same £160, which brings your rate to £53.33 an hour. Cancel any time.
Against a standard rate of £80. Benefits apply from the first payment, with no waiting period.
